The Deep End: A Journey with the Sunday Gospels in the Year of Mark

19.95

Tríona Doherty and Jane Mellett

There’s treasure here! I cannot recommend this double-act authorship of Triona and Jane too highly… a boon to anyone who wants to deepen their love and knowledge.’ – Catholic South West

Following on from the first two books in this series which explored Luke and Matthew, The Deep End invites readers to come on a reflective journey through the Sunday Gospels of Year B, the Gospel of Mark.

Mark’s is a gospel that emphasises the journey of discipleship. True discipleship in Mark is a gradual unfolding of awareness and understanding, as exemplified in the two great healings of blindness; everything that Jesus says and does is aimed at correcting partial sight and encouraging or restoring full sight. Readers will come to see that just as there is hope for the imperfect disciples, there is hope for everyone.
