The August Messenger has several examples of Magnifica Humanitas in action: the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) providing support in Syria, Irish Jesuits International (IJI) accompanying displaced families from Sudan and Lebanon and the Sketimpilo Centre in Zimbabwe, which supports poor and vulnerable children and adults impacted by the HIV and AIDS epidemic of the late 1990s.
