It is apt, in these times of war and destruction in our world, that Pope Francis asks us particularly for the month of April to pray for peace and the de-weaponisation of nation states. On this theme, David Stewart SJ writes that the threat of violence is in itself a form of violence. He describes a peaceful protest he participated in, which took the form of a prayer service outside a submarine base storing nuclear missiles.
